'Remember that game you played at birthday parties as a kid, where there would be a tray of various items, and you were instructed to study them carefully.  Then the tray would be taken away and you were given a challenge:  "Write down a list of all the items that had the color red."  So, you wrote your list -- confidently -- you were *sure* there were five items with the color red.  Then the tray was brought back in and your eyes got wide and your mouth dropped open as you realized there were *ten* items that obviously had the color of red.  Once the tray had been brought back in and you were looking specifically for red, you could see all ten items.   But that wasn't the end of the game... now the tray was taken away and you were given the challenge to list the items with the color blue.  Once again, when the tray was brought back in you saw many more blue items than you had remembered.

It's the same principle here...  When we look for something specifically, we see a lot more of it!  Take a look at the 24 cards above that have great things to watch for...  then watch for them!  That's it!  That's how easy and quick it can be.

On Day 1, most students haven't thought much, if any, about concepts such as partnership, commitment, inspiration, vitality, and generosity.  The 40-day lesson plan makes it possible for students to be aware and explore "GREAT" words.  By Day 40, students will have an increased awareness of "GREAT" which may provide more opportunities to experience what's great in their lives.
